Meet Emma, your guide.

I’m Emma, founder of Pedal Teesdale. I started Pedal Teesdale because I love bikes, I love Teesdale, and I wanted to create the kind of rides that feel welcoming, well guided and genuinely special.

Cycling has brought me adventure, confidence and connection, and I’ve seen how much the right ride atmosphere matters. When people feel comfortable, supported and part of the group, they get far more from the day — not just from the riding itself, but from the whole experience of being out in a beautiful place and sharing it with others.

That is what Pedal Teesdale is here to offer: the chance to explore this landscape properly, feel at ease from the start and enjoy the ride without pressure or pretence. My aim is to make every ride feel thoughtful, relaxed and for you to feel well looked after, with the right balance of support, challenge and enjoyment.

I want people to leave having had a really good day on the bike — feeling safe and proud of what they’ve done — but also with a real affection for Teesdale itself. If you head home having enjoyed the ride, felt part of the day and fallen a little bit in love with Teesdale, then Pedal Teesdale has done its job.
