Accessibility statement
At Pedal Teesdale, I want people to feel informed, welcomed and confident before booking a ride.
My rides are guided outdoor cycling experiences in rural Teesdale. Routes may include:
- Quiet roads
- Gravel tracks
- Grassy bridleways
- Old railway paths
- Moorland sections.
Depending on the ride, there may also be gates, puddles, uneven ground, short push sections and occasional steps to negotiate with bikes.
Because of the nature of the landscape and the routes, not every ride will be suitable for every rider or every access need. I aim to be clear about that, so you can make an informed decision and know what to expect on the day.
Each ride page includes practical information such as distance, climbing, terrain, pace and overall ride feel. Where possible, I also include details about meeting points, parking, toilets and anything significant riders should know in advance.
If you have any access requirements, health considerations, mobility needs, sensory needs, or questions about whether a ride is right for you, please get in touch before booking. I will always do my best to answer honestly, talk through the options and provide clear information about the route and the day.
For some riders or groups, a bespoke ride may be the better fit, and where possible I can work with you to design something more suitable around your needs, pace and experience.
My aim is to offer rides that feel welcoming, well supported and well looked after — with no pressure, no surprises where they can be avoided, and a calm, inclusive atmosphere from the start.
If you’re unsure, please ask. I’d always rather have a helpful conversation beforehand and help you find the right ride.
